Hi All,

I posted an update for UHFA on the DSP-10 web site
http://www.proaxis.com/~boblark/dsp10.htm
This is version 3.17 of the PC program. It adds a small delay on the enable
1 line that, at least for my DSPx/KDSP was needed to make the programming
work reliably. This version is not needed for the EZ-Kit, but will work
with it. If you already have 3.16 for an EZ-Kit, you are all set.

Now the interesting part. If I load the DSPx with UHF3x.EXE, and then
UHFA.EXE to the PC, everything is fine. If I stop the PC program
(SCRL-ALT-F4) and then restart it, the CODEC is programmed wrong (it is
only programmed once at startup). Everything else seems OK, but no (very
little) noise comes through. If I repeat this, the CODEC is fine. As near
as I can tell, every other load and run is OK.

I strongly suspect this relates to the downloading of the pointer table
that does a full reset of the DSP at startup of the PC program. This reset
function needs to be explored to find out why it does this. But, I'm in a
time squeeze now and it will need to wait until next week. Chuck, Bob and
others, if you could make sure you can make version 2.5 of UHF3x.EXE
and version 3.17 of UHFA.EXE work, including the every-other-time work
around, I will just leave it be for now!

I will post a separate message to the reflector about the control leads,
and the need for delay.

73,
Bob
