[DSP-10] Need Help!

Hi Chuck,
"Almost for sure," the DSP program is not loaded. That message means that
the DSP is not responding when the PC attempts to read some of the DSP memory.
Most often, the lack of a load traces itself back to the reset of the DSP.
This is an interesting area, in that there should be a reset when power-up
occurs, and when the reset button is pushed. Different EZ-Kits seem to
react differently, and don't always do this.
Before loading, the red LED should blink slowly. If this is not happening,
loading will not work. After the loading, the LED is on whenever the DSP
is processing the 48 kHz interrupt. This is most of the time, and the LED
is almost full brilliance. (An aside: you can put a 'scope on the LED and
watch the interrupt usage---the interrupts come in sets of five and repeat
every 104.2 microseconds.)
Check the reset and repeat power on to get the flashing LED. Also, be sure
you have the proper UHF3.EXE---that's the one for the EZ-Kit and UHF3X.EXE
is for the KK7P boards.
For the whole group, has anyone with a really stubborn EZ-Kit figured out
the reset process in detail?
Good luck!
