[DSP-10] Packet Question

Hello all,
Please forgive a possibly foolish question. I am kinda new to
amatuer radio still and am very interested in building the DSP
10 as a home station, but I want packet features as well, which
I dont see mentioned in the literature. Will this radio do
packet or can it be easily modified to do so?
