The message comes from the DSPx. It is converted from 3.3V CMOS levels to
RS232 levels by the KDSP10, and RS232 signals from your computer are
ocnverted back to CMOS as well.
The KDSP10 supplies power and a reset button.
If you get ths sign-on, it is extremely likely that the KDSP10 is working
fine, as is the DSPx.
If you don't, then it is time to troubleshoot:
1) Are you getting +5V from the KDSP10 regulator?
2) Does the RESET LED light up when you press the reset button?
3) Does it go out a few hundred milliseconds after you release the RESET
button?
4) Are the PI5C3245S chips in the correct orientation?
5) If the unit does not sign on, does the DSPx attempt to sign on but the
signal is lost somewhere between the DSPx and the RS232 connector?
- and so forth.
