So from a business stand point, if I don't like what price I've been selling
my product at, all I have to do is cancel the orders that are IN THE SYSTEM
and make you re-order at the higher price! Most companies will fulfill the
current orders and then raise their price after a given point. What a
concept, get you hooked at the lower price and then after you have put so
many in the field that you can't change your design raise the price. YES,
you too can make a profit. I suggest everyone go in and make this idea known
to your marketing departments, immediately. Everyone, triple your prices!!!
I wonder how the president of AD would react if he bought a new car for $30k
and when he came back to pick it up they said the price had gone up to $90k?
I bet he would not be a happy camper.

BTW, Bob, is there any chance of changing to a different DSP? It looks like
that may have to change or the program may be dead. It is not reasonable to
expect someone to pay $245 for the DSP board and $289 for the rest of the
kit (if you are not a TAPR member, $259 if you are). Half the price in one
component. Makes me want to go out and start this project, and I already
have the DSP kit.

This has not endeared AD to me from an engineering stand point. I will
recommend to all our staff to avoid using AD parts and I will make sure that
none make it into any of my designs from this point forward. If only I could
recall all the products that I have with AD parts and change them out. I
guess that I could always "cancel" my orders with them.
