I would not fire up anything until I replaced all the electrolytics in
all the equipment.
Rewire the AC-4 for a true full wave doubler instead of two half wave
sections stacked on top of each other. Look it up on the internet.
Full wave gets you better filtering better regulation and a happier
transmitter.

Once you get the Drakes working right, sell them. A good Drake 4-line
is worth about $800, That is enough to cover most of the cost of a
trouble free modern rig. I would recommend a Kenwood TS-950 or similar.
