Morning Kevin,
Sounds like you have quite a mountain to climb on that one. It could
be done, but do you really want to spent the kind of time and money
involved to get it back to where you'd actually use it? TR-4/C's are
fairly common. You should be able to find a complete functioning
unit in the $225-$275 range. Excellent sideband rig, but somewhat
lacking on cw. A real powerhouse barefoot. I use mine primarily on
75 meters and a C line w/ an L4B on everything else.
Keep what you've got for parts, or farm it out as a "parts rig". You
could probably get what you paid for it.
