[Drake] R4C no calibrate

Turn the knob to the correct dial setting.

Push in slightly and hold the skirt. There is a rubber bushing that will
"lock" the dial and prevent it from turning

Turn the knob to get zero beat

Release the skirt.

Subject: [Drake] R4C no calibrate

Can anyone shed some light on this....Like several other old rigs, you
calibrate by zero beating the calibrator, holding the tuning knob, and
turning the skirt. Mine always worked that way.

But...after having been off for several months, holding the knob and turning
the skirt will not move the dial. Only turning the main tuning knob moves
the dial.

So, something is stuck to something (I suppose)

Can anyone figure what is not happening, and what needs to be done?

Thanks, and Happy New Year to all!!!

.....Dave
