Hi, first of all a BIG 'thank you', to all that replied to my question
about "stick / slip".......

Next question:

I have a nice R-4C that I have owned for a few years. I recently
acquired the Sherwood "type" of circuit boards to update the p/s,
audio, etc. While in the old girl, I wanted to replace the stock Drake
filter with an Inrad GUF-1. I have a bunch of documentation that
describes the benefits of such a filter, etc.
I am undecided if I want the 8 KHz or 6 KHz version. I have read that
the 6 KHz version compromises the Noise Blanker function. No problem
here, since I do NOT have a NB, and since they must be made out of
"unobtanium", I don't want one!
I also have a quiet location (FINALLY!!!). The R-4C will be used for
listening and MAY be used as an auxiliary receiver for the TR-4Cw.
I'm NOT a big contester or passionate CW op. However, the radio does
have 1500, 500, 250, and 125 Hz filters. Obviously, only 3 are
installed.
Soooooo, I'm asking for your opinions on which one would be 'best'.

Inrad said that they sell equal amounts of both models.....

Thanks in advance!!
