Working on an R4C for a friend
BFO transistor is suspect - AM detector works, nil on SSB/CW.
How critical is the direct replacement of the 2N3394 in the circuit?
Will a substitute work satisfactorily?
Does anyone have a 2N3394 in their inventory that they can spare?
Mouser offers the 3393 as a replacement - its .08 per piece, so cost
isn't a factor.
