They are 0.125 inch diameter and are made by several
manufacturers.  The rod comes in various lengths from
like 6 inches to 12 inches long (depending on the
manufacturer) and there are several in the package. 
The length is 0.25 inches for the indicator plug  It
is at a local hobby shop that I get the material that
I use for those that I sell.  It is just that they do
take some work to make and I do have to charge for my
labor.

The price for the rod is not that much.  At least at
the shop where I get my material they are located in a
"general" area since the material can be used in all
sorts of hobbies.

Frankly, I don't mind telling people where to get
supplies if they want to do the work themselves.  Now
I will not furnish computer artwork that I have
created (and things like that) but as to the raw
material sources, no problem!
