[Drake] Question: R7A case color

Here's a question for the group:

Was the R7A originally fitted with a black or gray colored case (or both)?  I 
know that Drake had replacement black colored cases available as replacements 
and all of the TR7A's I've seen have gray cases, but I've seen both black and 
gray on R7A's.  So I'm wondering if Drake originally fitted both colors on 
the receivers.
