[Drake] help with Drake TR4-Cw / Hallicrafters HT-41 amp hook-up

Sounds to me like you might have the bias leads reversed.  If the HT-41 is 
anything like the Drake L-4B amp, one of the leads is ground and the other is 
hot. When the hot lead is grounded, it causes the changeover relay in the amp to 
operate, thereby lifting the the receiver from the antenna and putting the 
amp in line.  Check your amp manual and see if the relay is wired that way.
