Hello to the Drake gang...   A good substitute lamp for the original #47 used for illumination in Drake equipment (and others) is #755...   Not quite as brite as the 47 but, you will not be able to tell the difference...   The lamp life is a lot longer than the 47 and you will notice the difference there...   Mouser Electronics has them...  Their part number is: 
606-CM755...   6.3 volt, .15A...
