I have a Transformer from a Drake L4B Linear
Amplifier.
I have the Drake L4 B instruction manual and on page
2-5 the terminal strip wiring for 240 volt operation
is shown. The trouble is that my L4B transformer
doesn't have a terminal strip. My L4 B transformer has
seven (7) leads coming out of the top of the winding.
I need to identify each of the seven(7) leads. They
are as follow:
Brown
Yellow/Black
Black
Blue
Green
Yellow/Blue
Green/Black
Can anyone tell me what winding connects to which
color wire? I am sure that there are two leads per
winding but I can't associate the leads with a
particular winding. I guess I need to know which color
wire went to which terminal eventhough I don't have
the terminal, that way I can tell which windings go
where to wire for 240 volt operation.
Maybe if someone could tell me which wire from the
transformer went to which terminal FROM LEFT TO RIGHT,
I could get it wired safely for 240 volt operation.
Please assist me if you can. 73, John, K5PGW
