Well , I have seen lots of ideas for changing out the 6JB6A finals in 
Drake transmitters and seriously considered the 6146 swap ,but it is 
lots of work and requires some parts changes as well as sockets ( and 
you have to find the short 6146s). I have not seen my solution in any of 
the Drake listings but  what I did was install 12 pin  sockets and just 
plugged in 6JM6As which are the exact tube electrically  as the 6JB6 and 
really dirt cheap since nobody wants them. Works beautifully- same as 
original tubes.
