I have been reading some tips on Drake.
Here is a good one I have done to two, 2nt's.
I been using a Heath kit HG-10 or HG-10B VFO. follow the
manual and use the grid key bias set up for the under side.
cut the wire it tells you to cut on the back of the VFO.
Then use the green wire from the vfo and attach it to the
"ring", the "non grounded side" of the 1/4 inch plug for the
key. when the key is closed the
negitive bias -80 to -120 volts is turned off and the VFO
keys very very nicely.
if you have less than -30 volts bias, one fellow in "1" land
did.
I dont think the ne-2 will light or turn off right. he had
-20 vdc.
I also use a seprate power supply for the vfo and not the
transmitters power for B+ and Fil/Htr.
