Sounds like you need a new "switch cap."  I had to change the one in my
R4C for that same reason.  That was back when Drake was selling their
parts inventory.

I would suggest getting in touch with John Kriner.  He has been selling
those on that unspeakable place and had some on there recently for the
R4B and R4C but does sell to people without going through the
unthinkable place.

recently changed his email address and it was something else.  Maybe he
is using both email addresses for a while.

John should probably have a switch cap left.  Be sure and specify which
one you are looking for (T4XC) since the one for the B line and C line
are a little different.

My T4XC power switch has a problem.

The Transmitter won't come on when the Mode switch is switched from
"Off" to
"SSB".

You have to turn the switch (past "SSB") to "Tune", then back to
"SSB".

Questions for the group:

1. Could the switch itself be misaligned somehow? (I can't see how...)

2. Is a replacement power switch module available? (It mounts on the
back of
the Mode switch)
