[Drake] Need Input on the MN-2700 Tuner

Hi
The Johnson was designed in an era of 450 ohm ladder line antenna feed.
It is at it's best when you try to feed something outlandish like a end
fed dipole. High SWR and high impedance are a much better combo for the
Johnson than they are for a balun based tuner. The problem isn't the
tuner it's the balun ...
As long as you are running things that are fairly close to resonance
there is nothing at all wrong with either a balun or the MN-2700. I
have always questioned just how effective any 10:1 SWR antenna may be
....
Take Care!
