[Drake] Need Input on the MN-2700 Tuner

Hi Jim
I owned an MN-2700 for several years. I never had a problem with it. I
found it to be one of the best antenna tuners I'd ever used.
If you can, pick up the 4:1 balun that goes with it.
There is a conception that the Johnson Viking tuners are the best. Well, in
some instances that are. However, the Johnson's are intended to be used with
long wires/open wire feeder antennas and such.
The MN-2700 will do those things too, but its at its best at matching about
20 - 300 ohm impedances. I found the Johnson didn't match 50 ohm antennas as
well (like using my 80 meter dipole on both the phone and CW parts of the
band) as the MN-2700 did.
The only reason that I sold it was that I was downsizing the station and
didn't need it.
Get one. You won't regret it!
