That removable plate is in there to make access to the bottom of the printed
cct should you have to service it and take some meter readings. This way you
don't have to take it all apart. Fern

> Possible, but not probable. The SP-75 is a single circuit board and
remember, it was assembled in the late 70's to early 80's. Very simple
assembly and the board easily slips in and out of the simple chassis. The
manual gives a tuneup procedure with test point access from the top side
after you remove the chassis cover (not the panel).
