[Drake] 6jb6 or Equivalent

Interesting last name considering we are discussing Drake radios.

I use 6JB6A's in my T4XB.  Don't think you will find much difference between
the 6JB6 and the 6JB6A.  Al, W8UT, has done quite a bit of research of these
tubes, manufacture and testing.  The following site has some good information:

There are differences in the shape of 6JB6's.  The RCA's I have and the
Sylvania's do have a different shape at the base.  Currently I have Sylvania in
my T4XB.  I have some Sylvania and RCA spares.  As to Raytheon making them even
though they have Sylvania or RCA on them, I would not know.  I thought I read
on some Drake site that Sylvania's were the 6JB6 of choice.  Perhaps others can
shed some light here....good discussion thread.
