Hi All !

Hope everyone is keeping nice and warm !! (With the exception of you =
snowbirds) !!

I know this issue has been addressed at some point in the past, but I =
missed it and can't find it in my references. The questions are: Drake, =
as I understand, only sold rigs with sylvania 6jb6 tubes. What are the =
differences in brands? I understand they were all made in the same =
Raytheon factory? If so, why all the caution about re-neutralization? =
I know it recommends it in the manual, and, I don't have any first hand =
experience with replacements. Second, What issues are there with =
substitution with 6jb6a's. If there is a web site that addresses this, =
please direct me to it and I can bookmark it. I don't need to replace =
mine as yet, and hope I never do, but this has come to mind during my =
restoration of an old Westinghouse shortwave set (tube substituition).

Thanks,

David Drake, Wd9cmd, in Icy cold and nasty southern Indiana.
