Thanks! I stand corrected. The SIL 2-75 is also available on the
CCA site, and you don't need a password!
They did what I mentioned below by "weaseling" in between the problem
spots! The 200 kHz range limitation helps in this regard.
Drake did something similar for 30M, recommending a particular crystal
to give a 10.1 to 10.6 MHz range instead of the "normal" 10.0 to 10.5
MHz coverage. I guess there wasn't any demand for 5 to 6 MHz for
Drake, so they never investigated further. I also think it would be a
lot harder to sneak into that area with the carrier oscillator and PTO
"right there".
We can use our Collins on the new "frequencies" when they become
available! :-)
