I didn't mean to slight the other "new" rigs out there, such as the
K2, Orion and other Ten-Tec synthesized transceivers.   The other
possible approach would be to use some of the homebrew or kit SSB rigs
or other straight-through crystal or VFO style rigs.  I can't think of
any vintage gear that would be suitable without modification of the
VFO, driver and final stage tuned circuits.
