Hi Al,
I didn't mean to imply that the other 2B was a bad receiver, just that this
one is so good! The OA2 fires just fine, has 187 volts going to it, regulates
at 150v just fine, very nicely done modification. I probably wouldn't have
caught it right away, but when I saw the ss diodes under the chassis, I started
poking around. This one drifts less than a couple of R7's I had a few years ago.
I asked on another drake bulletin board, nobody seems to have heard of this
particular mod. Seems like a good one to me.
