I have a T4X-C serial number 29K + with several problems and all seem =
to be intermittent. I've replaced all the bias caps and 250v caps in the =
power supply and the 650v caps appear to be clean. (Minimal AC).=20
1. Intermittent power out. When it does work I have about 150 watts on =
tune.
2. Intermittent audio. Same scenario, when it works it right I have =
about 150 watts. Sometimes you can just see everything start to fall. =
Plate meter corresponds with my Mirage MP-1 watt meter.
3. This is all on 75 meters and the transceiver switch set to receiver. =
If I choose the transmitter output drops to 50 watts. If I select =
separate I go back to 50 watts. I know I'm on the transmitter because =
I've tested it on the air. I have not had it on any other band.=20
4. This morning I took the bottom off and found a resistor fried to the =
point of not being able to be sure of it's value. I think it's a 33 ohm =
1/2 watt. No idea what circuit this is in. With the bottom off and =
turned upside down with the front of the radio facing you. Dead center =
and 2/3 the way back is the transmitter relay on a small board. This =
burned resister is to the right of the relay and just below the 2 watt =
resistor mounted horizontally. This resistor is mounted vertically =
standing upright, not flush to the board and looks like orange, orange , =
black. Not positive.

Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks in advance
