Hi Morry,
    Half watt is fine, std carbon or film is fine.  It's in the cathode
ckt to ground, no RF on it.  At 400 ma it'll dissipate abt 0.32 watt, well
within it's rating, and you shouldn't run 400ma for too long anyhow ;-)
    I hope this dispells any worry.
