Hello, Bob.

If your C-line is like my B-line, check that you have the R-4C function
switch set to either EXT. MUTE or NB and not just to ON.  If the function
switch is set to ON, the receiver won't mute when you key the transmitter
and you'll overload the front end of the receiver and get a sound similar to
feedback from your MS-4.  Also, make sure that the mute cable between the
T-4XC and R-4C is in place.  If it is missing, I believe a shielded audio
cable will work very nicely.

I'm having a problem and I'm sure I'm making a stupid mistake.

I have a C-line and when I hit the mic I get a sound out of the MS-4
that sounds like feedback.
