Can't imagine why anyone would want to flame you, Mike. If it works for
you, that's what it's all about. I, too, am a bit hard of hearing, but I
find that frequently, turning the preamp ON, with the Icom, raises the noise
level to such a degree it's hard to pick out a signal. Maybe it has a lot to
do with our ears, huh?
