[Drake] MN2000 problem

have the MN2000
when i tune up ex. using 80 meter wire resonate at 3.920 tune down to
3.795
after tuning swr1:1 ok then i run amp thru it and it hear sizzling
sound.....
does not do it with 100 watts  amp is a clipperton L about 1200 watts
out.
any suggestion. I haven't take the cover off the tuner yet just wanted
to get an idea if anyone else had had this happen to them and what it
was.
