Hi Joe

I am currently out of the area so I am forwarding this to the inside group
so they can follow up

I hope to be back for the DARA meeting

George,

I will be the speaker at the February DARA general meeting! I'll be doing a
talk on Kit Building Techniques For Success, and will go over tips and
tricks as well as give a look at who is and is no longer in the kit
business. Unfortunately, my flight schedule gets me into Dayton around 8PM
on Thursday night, so I probably can't do anything on Thursday night, but I
AM available on Saturday for a couple hours. Maybe we can do a kind of
building clinic, where people bring in kits they are working on, and I can
give them suggestions if they are having questions, or maybe something else
on Saturday? Your suggestions?

Hi Joe

Good to hear from you.

Since the meter was made out your way - do you or someone you know have any
interest in it?

You are always welcome at Thursday Night Group, TNG as we call it. Do you
have a project in mind?

We recently had a local ham talk about some crystal receiver and transmitter
projects he was thinking about. You might be interested in working with him
and develop a new kit to add to your line up. He was working from a website
and some old 73 magazines.

I have included Sam on this as I do not know what month(s) he might have
open for the DARA General meetings

I want to wish you and yours a Very Merry Christmas and a Safe and Happy New
Years

That meter was made in the early 70s by Sencore in Sioux Falls, South
Dakota. It used FETs instead of tubes to get the same high impedance that
the tubes did to give it a lot higher accuracy and less effect on the
measured circuit under test. I'd be glad to come to Dayton again to do a
monthly club meeting/Thursday night meeting/kit build if you wish. Just let
me know. Maybe we can work something out with Sam, N8VES for maybe the Feb.
DARA club meeting weekend.
