HI Guys.

 

It looks like the total buy will be ten units. The shipping cost will be
down a little but the discount is the same.  

 

So with the chisel tip added in we are still around $280 -$285. I'll do one
more check on Thursday night to finalize the quantity, and I would
appreciate you having your money then. I expect them to arrive next week
sometime but need to confirm that.

 

The list at this point is :

 

Keith, Greg, Doc, the B. road lab, Mitch, Daun ( a friend of mine), Bill,
me, and Hamvention (2).

In the process of choosing a soldering station for SMD work at the
clubhouse, I found that several people were interested in acquiring this
capability. Thanks to Greg Santaromita, we have found a unit made by AOYUE
that offers a lot of features for a very reasonable price compared to what
is typically asked.

 

The model number is 2703A+ and it lists for $299 from a company in CT.
Shipping and sales tax are on top of that, of course. 

 

After discussing this choice with folks at the TNG a week ago, there were at
least 8 people interested in acquiring one of these stations. I have been
able to negotiate the price down to $240 each plus shipping and tax for 8
units. We also want to include a 2.0 mm chisel tip, which adds $15.00. That
brings the total up to around $285. I say around because the shipping charge
was just an estimate.

 

The purpose of this message is to offer the opportunity for others to take
advantage of this pricing.

 

Please let me know by Friday, 4/17 if you are interested. Payment will be
due by the time I send in the order. Of course, the more we order, the lower
the unit cost is likely to be but I need to know how many I am negotiating
for.
