Most Radio Amateurs have never seen the ITU Operational Provisions
applying to Aural Morse (tone) and Sounder working (click, click).

Here is

DIVISION B OPERATIONAL PROVISIONS APPLYING TO MORSE AND SOUNDER WORKING

This document doesn't have CQ in it or CP, that must be elsewhere in
the ITU Blue Book for Maritime Mobile Service.  I'll have to look for
it.

As a consolation, I attach a recording of a CP addressed broadcast by
Romania tanker ship "Fundulea" / YQIB which tragically was later
attacked by Iranian Revolutionary Guards on November 23, 1987 as it
entered the Persian Gulf through the Straits of Hormuz.
