[CW] FCC Fees for Amateur Licenses starts April 19, 2022

 I've had a number of people slam me for my opposition to amateur radio license fees.  Thanks for the emails.

I particular enjoy the implication that those who oppose fees must be "poor" or worse, "must be too poor to be hams".    

I have been discussing policy - not individual situations.  My point is that license fees would tend to discourage some people from getting involved. To what degree is hard to say, but clearly having a fee would offer more discouragement than no fee.  The FCC saw the merit of this point when they reduced the previously higher fee to the current amount.   
 The ad hominem attack:  Person A asserts that Person B's position in a debate is wrong because of something wrong with Person B.  In this case, those who oppose fees must be poor if they don't support fees.
