[CW] Recommendations for Head Phones

I've not looked at current products from the amateur radio companies, but in the past I have not been impressed with the choices available from them.  They seemed way too expensive for the only so-so quality.

I have more than 35 years of professional headphone-buying experience in broadcast station engineering, and have purchased (and repaired) many different brands over the years.  The line I settled on as the best quality for the money are the headphones from Sennheiser.
Here is a website showing their present line-up.  You might find them at discounts from other online sources.

I always loved their HD-414 headphones, but they are no longer manufactured, and are hard to find because so many others love them too.  Replacement parts are still available, though, which to me is always a sign of a good company.  But studio users like their current products.  I only have experience with their wired headphones which I assume you are interested in as well.  Wireless could be great in certain situations, I suppose, but I don't want the complication of another system involved.

For those that like a sealed cup style, I recommend
HD-300 or HD-280PRO
For those that like an open-air headphone (so you can hear other sounds around you) I'd recommend
HD-559

In some cases heaphones only come with 1/8" phone plugs on the cable, but 1/8-1/4" adapters are available a small cost

Subject: [CW] Recommendations for Head Phones

Looking for strong for/against on commercially available headphones.
Obviously amateur radio, if not exclusively  CW use.
Must be cup type that can cover ear+external hearing aides.
Price hopefully under $150 area.
