No, the irony is not lost :-) Quite the contrary.

And again, ironically, I agree with you regarding the furor over CW
requirements.

And in case you hadn't noticed, the same is said today regarding the
existential threats posed by FT8. And again, I see no doom in those
tea-leaves.

I do however see doom in arguing social policy. That's why I love ham
radio; no sex, no religion, no politics. Except on 75 Meters.
