[CW] Recollection of 100th Centennial of Marconi "S"

Some Canadians received permission to use Spark transmission (Mode B) on
the Marconi 2001 Centennial of crossing the Atlantic by radio. Here are
some recordings of that event. Earl Korf, K2IC and myself stood by on
frequency ready to work the station but it was intended to be a one way
event! All we heard was "Marconi dot dot dot" but that's exactly what was
sent. Earl was in Northern New Jersey as I was in Green Harbor, near
Plymouth, Massachusetts. Quite a distance for real spark.


Here are a few recordings made at the time of the centennial of the
trans-Atlantic spark transmission by Marconi.

The one spark.mp3 appears to be close enough to hear the musical note of
the spark. Probably done by diode detection at the VE3BBN site.
