[CW] Vibroplex Variable Main Spring

The devil is in the details I think. Page 3, around sentence 15 reads:

“Fig. 8 shows a portion of an operating lever of
a, somewhat  different construction.”

I think the document shows one arm, Figs 2 & 3 (similar to a lightening ?) while the wording adds “somewhat different construction”.  I think the patent offers two alternate construction/adjustment methods. 

How do you read it?
