I wrote something similar in my QTH blog last 24 Dec 2019:

"And somewhere in there it clicked: I found myself "in the zone:" sending
without thinking, eyes half closed, a mental talk-to-self in progress, code
flowing out the fingers like clicking relays, the hand in tune with the
bug, the bug an extension of the hand… It's a really Zen thing, I recommend
it."

I hadn't read "Zen and the Art..." until a few weeks ago. It's a fine work.
Downloaded it as part of research for my own book on "everything Morse."
