The Editor (Bill Breniman, ex-W6BE) of the SOWP newsletters certainly
did his homework with the history of Morse code.

The SOWP has a bio of Bill Breniman (ex- W6BE)  and death notice - he
died at the age of 100.  A fine outstanding man, he founded the
Society of Aeronautical Pioneers (SOAP) and the Society of Wireless
Pioneers (SOWP) he was both a ship radio officer and flight radio
officer, and worked for FAA for many years.
