Have you had difficulty learning Morse code? Or felt that it was
insurmountable? Or want to get started in head-copying? Please consider
checking out my Morse code course — https://morsecode.ninja/learn/index.html
The format of my Morse code course provides continuous and immediate feedback.
For each character(s), word, or callsign sent in Morse code, it
is then spoken after a one-second pause. This format accelerates the
learning process and reduces frustration. And it has proved to be popular
in my more advanced practice videos.
The course is structured so that it is incrementally more difficult and
encourages head-copying from the start! There are 250 lessons. I introduce the characters in the same order as the Level 1 CW Academy class, so the course can be used as a supplement or stand on its own. If you have any feedback, please let me know! I'm open to improving the course. (Note that you will be able to make it through the first few lessons in no time flat. Just listen to the introduction videos until you get the character down. Then in the 1-second pause in the other videos, say out loud whatever you are able to copy. Then move on to the next lesson as soon as you reach 70 to 90% accuracy.)
I am excited to release my very own Morse Code Course to help others
discover and learn Morse code. It is awesome to give back to the amateur radio community. Many years ago, in 1996, I received a $2,000 scholarship from the Dayton Amateur Radio Association. I hope that whoever made that possible would be proud to know that I graduated cum laude with a B.S. in Information Systems from Kansas State University and would later go on to give back to the amateur radio community. I now have over 1,000 hours of Morse code content on YouTube, and people watch more than 30 hours of my videos each day! (All of it is public domain and ad-free.)
I had wanted to create this course for several months after I had gotten
several requests to create something to help others get started learning
Morse code. I ended up doing the majority of the work when I was sick! When I was able to tolerate sitting in a chair, I worked quickly to flesh out
the code necessary to generate each lesson. Then I rented 20 large servers from Amazon in Virginia and Ohio to render the video. Otherwise, it would have taken over a month on my iMac to produce that much video! There are 100s of hours!
— feeling excited.
