Layne,

I had no idea you had so many years of amateur radio under your belt.

I'd actually love to have log periodic antennas on 100 foot towers with 1.5
kW, I'd add two additional 100 foot towers and make a two wavelength loop
on 1.8 MHz as a 2 wave loop works very well on its harmonics.

I much rather like rag chatting with the friends I've met while traveling
the world as a radio officer.  These are some seriously excellent CW
operators. I'd use those towers to work my friends far away.

I used to love machine made fast code, but now I really love hand sent
Morse as it's not perfect but with a great operator, it's nearly perfect.

Up at a hamfest several years ago, I met Layne, I was struck by the mirror
image of my and his call signs.  I have his call, but backwards!  See
attached.
