Hi Joe,

Here are the requirements:

Radiotelegraph Operator License Written Element(s) 1 & 6
Telegraphy Element(s) 1 & 2

It seems that Element 5 has been eliminated. It had questions like what
is the latitude and longitude of the Panama Canal and what does the
telegraphic service abbreviation RP or PC mean. I think RP was used when
sending to someone and you had prepaid a reply, so it was sent as RP USD
7.50 to mean a reply has been prepaid in the amount of $7.50. PC was often
used on messages sent to the ship it was "Pass Confirmation" meaning that
the coast station would send an SVC (Service Telegram) to the sender of
the telegram that the telegram in question had been passed to the ship
like this:

SVC TUCKERTONRADIO/WSC 23 JAN 2018 1250Z

BAYSHIPS
NYK

UR MSG ENG231 DTD 22/1300 JAN 18 PASSED AT 22/1342Z JAN 18 =

TUCKERTONRADIOWSC

NNNN

Quite handy to see if Sparks was getting the traffic for the ship.
