For those with interest, I received my GHD GH-GF501A sideswiper today.
The construction and finish are unquestionably top shelf.  I plead
guilty to falsely assuming for too long that unless a key were made by a
European artisan, it just couldn't be that good!

As far as operating, it has a thin blade like a hacksaw but with NO
chatter; the damping is very effective, the landing is "soft" and the
lollipop finger piece is comfortable, classic and with just the right
thickness for me.  I think I'm in love.

The Frattini Dyna Maniflex I once owned chattered; not much but it was
there.  This GHD does not.  This GHD key compares very favorably in
finish to the Frattini and - in my humble opinion - the operation is
less stiff with a shorter throw.

Everyone has an opinon and what pleases one may not be another's cup of
tea but FWIW let me just say that the GHD is well worth looking into.
At $200 it's a deal at one-third the price of a European "masterpiece."
