Gentlemen and Ladies of the Telegraph Key gathered on this CW Reflector:

ARRL has been sending occasionally poorly formatted messages on email - and
perhaps also on Digital Modes / CW, RTTY, ASCII, FEC AmTOR, PSK, etc.

I suspect a malfunction of the conversion equipment or an inexperienced new
junior operator or assistant as the O-I-C (Operator-In-Charge), Joseph
"Joe" Carcia, NJ1Q does an excellent job and is a true professional in his
work and his gentlemanly manner.

As poor formatting does not aid quick comprehension of any needed DX
entities or operating events, I have revamped the email, giving new lines
for each country, and new paragraphs for the operating events of different
dates, or weekends.

I hope this is useful for some of you, and seeing your CW conductor bubble
profusely about a mere re-editing job quite humorous. I wish my friend
Phil Gildersleeve was still around so he could see how I was making a
complete mess of this email.

Phil was "Artist-in-Residence" of QST for many years and many of you
remember the excellent Jeeves cartoons he inked for my friend the late
W9BRD/VA3ZBB (Double U Nine Bird), Rod Newkirk for his outstanding DX
column in the 1960s and 1970s for QST.

Rod's wife Betty Broome Newkirk, formerly VE3ZBB now VA3ZBB honored her
late husband by taking his portion of the "his and hers" VE3ZBB/VA3ZBB call
signs after his death. She now sends out VA3ZBB on CW. Alas, she has not
joined this little group and she is very insightful and writes as well as
dear Rod.

Phiil Gildersleeve, W1CJD's artwork may be seen here and it is well worth a
look: http://udel.edu/~mm/ham/gil/

I'd love to have a QSL designed by Phil as you can see his own QSL's were
works of art:
