    I could never find a Mac key that I could afford but 
have a couple of TAC keys. These have weights that sound 
like the ones on the Mac key and I wonder if they would fit. 
I don't know if they would be any easier to find.  It seems 
to me that anyone with reasonable skill with a lathe could 
make weights from brass stock and get them plated if 
required. The originals are probably made of hard brass, the 
weight would tell.
