Is the tag brass or steel? If its steel, naval jelly applied with Q tip
and let sit for TWO minutes at a time will work. Rubber gloves are needed
and apply to area of rust.
Less agressive is Bartenders Friend.
Very gentle no scratch is Bon Ami.
My trick is Amazing Pink a non toxic chemical from Maine. We get it in
Hannifords grocery chsin headquartered in Maine. It is the best cleaner,
degreaser, I have ever used.
For rust on metal I use that or naval jelly which is heavy acid.
