[CW] ambidextrous keying

I hope this does not get me thrown off this reflector.

 

Several weeks ago a video was available on this reflector showing
VR2UW/VS6UW having a QSO between his left hand and his right hand.  I have
always wanted to be able to send with my left hand but never took the time
to learn/practice.

 

I have two Vibroplex bugs an original and a champion.  Examining the
'Champion' I saw where I could convert it, with little modification, to make
it a left handed bug.  The only thing I had to do was countersink 3 holes (
the sin that I may be banned for) and turn the base upside down and place 3
stick on feet. I even was able to move the Vibroplex plate to the other
side.

 

Works great.  I can now send VVV,   TEST,   my call  and work my way through
the alphabet and numbers ( at about 10-15 WPM) left handed.   It will be a
long time before I put this key on the air.
