[CW] What is a good straight key?

I believe you have made an excellent choice.  Interestingly, the maker of
these keys Pietro Begali, himself a long time radio amateur with call sign
I2RTF struggles with Morse despite these long years, but he appreciates
quality, both of those who are masters of the instruments he produces, and
of his gift which he shares, of making fabulous Morse instruments which in
talented hands can produce a symphony of beauty.  He also appreciates the
music that is made with manual keys, a song that cannot be produced by a
keyer and paddles or a keyboard.

I believe you have made a very wise decision.  Concentrate on music of the
beautiful sending, speed may come, but that is not the destination, it is
the journey and the music that you hear along the way that I believe is the
achievement.
